Educational Qualification: No minimum education required for the post of Contractual Safai Karamchari.
Native Residency: Applicant must be a native resident (मूल निवासी) of Rajasthan.
Scheduled Area Post Restriction: For the 475 posts in 9 Scheduled Area ULBs, only residents of Rajasthan’s Scheduled Area may apply. Candidates must tick the Scheduled Area column in the online form; otherwise, the application will be rejected for those posts.
One‑Year Sanitation Experience:
One year of work experience in any urban local body of Rajasthan (continuous or accumulated periods)
Experience certificate must be in the prescribed format issued by the ULB:
If employed directly: signed by the Chief Municipal Officer or authorised officer
If employed through a contractor: signed by the contractor or authorised agency and then countersigned by the competent municipal officer
Certificate must be dated after 1 August 2026 and before the application deadline (28 September 2026). Certificates issued earlier are not accepted.
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2027):
Minimum: 21 years
Maximum: below 40 years (i.e., 40 years is not allowed)
Retirement age at appointment cannot exceed 60 years.
Age Relaxations (non‑cumulative, except benchmark disability):
SC, ST, OBC, MBC & EWS Men of Rajasthan: 5 years
General Category Women of Rajasthan: 5 years
SC, ST, OBC, MBC & EWS Women of Rajasthan: 10 years
Widows and Divorced Women: No age limit (subject to retirement age of 60)
Ex‑Servicemen: As per Rajasthan Civil Services (Absorption of Ex‑servicemen) Rules, 1988
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 5 years in addition to the relaxation granted for their category (Rajasthan Divyangjan Adhikar Niyam, 2018)

There are four distinct stages in the selection:
Screening of Applications – Verifies age, native‑resident status, one‑year sanitation experience, and correct category claims.
Lottery – Priority Tier 1 – Candidates with one year’s experience in the same ULB are included first.
Lottery – Priority Tier 2 – If vacancies remain, candidates with one‑year experience in another ULB **within the same district** are considered.
Lottery – Priority Tier 3 – Remaining posts go to candidates with one‑year experience in **any ULB in Rajasthan**.
Candidates who have obtained a Rajasthan High Court order in earlier Safai Karamchari recruitments granting priority or regularisation will receive special priority in the ULB they have applied for. Lottery dates and detailed results are published separately on the department portal and the SSO portal.
Selected candidates will receive a **fixed monthly honorarium of ₹7,410**. This remuneration is set as per the Labour Department notification dated 13 December 2024 and is governed by the Rajasthan Contractual Hiring to Civil Posts Rules, 2022.
