Graduation with PGDCA/PDCA/PGDIT/APGDCA, or BCA/B.Sc (Computer Science/IT)/MCA/M.Sc (Computer Science/IT)/B.Tech/M.Tech (any stream), or 3-year Diploma in Computer Application/IT from SBTE/University, or A/B/C Level course from DOE/NIELIT; minimum 55% marks; no work experience required. Certificates must be dated before the application deadline.
Age Limit: No age limit
If you are a computer graduate, B.Tech/M.Tech holder, BCA or M.Sc (Computer Science/IT) graduate, or possess a three‑year diploma in Computer Application/IT, now is the moment to act. Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (HARTRON) has announced a rolling advertisement for 530 Junior Programmer positions, spread across every one of Haryana’s 23 districts.
This is a job‑work basis empanelment (not a regular government post) offering a remuneration of ₹24,100. Importantly, the advertisement does not prescribe any age limit, removing a typical barrier for many aspirants.
Organization: Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (HARTRON) – the IT arm of the Haryana government.
Post: Junior Programmer (on Job‑Work Basis) – panel empanelment for short‑term deployment.
Total Vacancies: 530 posts (district‑wise distribution below).
Remuneration: ₹24,100 (single figure, no separate allowances disclosed).
Application Period: 30 July 2026 – 9 August 2026 (11 days, no extension mentioned).
Admit Card: Available from 12 August 2026 onwards.
Selection: Two‑stage test, compulsory training, merit preparation and conditional deployment.
Age Limit: No age limit – applicants of any age group can apply.
Category Reservation: Follows Haryana State Reservation Policy; posts are district‑specific and a candidate may apply in only one district.
Eligibility for reserved categories is restricted to bonafide Haryana residents; otherwise, those candidates are treated as general. The following table shows the total vacancy count per district (the roster lists Hansi separately alongside Hisar). Note that ESM sub‑columns are part of the 530 total and the 29 PWD posts are a horizontal reservation already included.

The eligibility matrix is deliberately generous to attract talent from a wide pool. There are three distinct educational pathways; none require prior work experience. Candidates must possess the required qualification with at least 55 % marks and the certificate date must fall before the application deadline (30 July 2026 for online receipt). It is crucial that the certificates are issued by a competent authority as defined in the notification.
Graduation (any discipline) plus PGDCA, PDCA, PGDIT or APGDCA.
BCA, B.Sc (Computer Science or Information Technology)
MCA, M.Sc (Computer Science or Information Technology)
B.Tech or M.Tech in any stream (technical degree)
Three‑Year Diploma in Computer Application or IT from SBTE or a University.
A, B or C Level course from DOE or NIELIT (including NIPT).
Important Note: Candidates holding an MCA or M.Tech through distance education or part‑time must ensure the degree is approved/permitted by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
SC, BCA, BCB, EWS, ESM and PwD certificates must be issued by the competent authority before the last date of application.
The EWS certificate must strictly follow the Haryana Government format; central government EWS certificates are not accepted.
For ESM benefits, applicants must submit an attested copy of the identity card issued by the concerned Zila Sainik Board along with the discharge certificate or book, plus a valid eligibility certificate for family members.
Application Restriction: If a candidate has already been taken on the panel for any post, they cannot reapply for at least six months. Appearing or applying within that window will bar them from being placed again.
There is no age limit, so age‑related relaxations are not applicable. This open‑ended policy is truly advantageous for experienced professionals or senior graduates looking to reposition themselves.

Note: A separate refundable security deposit of ₹1,500 is required after clearing the first test and before the compulsory training. The deposit is refunded only on completion of training with ≥75 % attendance, clearing the second test within the permitted two attempts, and causing no damage to corporation property.
The recruitment follows a six‑stage process with a mandatory training block sandwiched between two tests. While the overall procedure might appear lengthy, each stage is clearly defined and the timeline is compact.
A computer‑based objective MCQ test covering general computer awareness plus domain‑specific questions relevant to the post applied for. The result of this test remains valid for **one year** from the date of advertisement. Exact number of questions, marks, duration and negative marking are **not disclosed** in the notification, so candidates are advised to use the latest exam syllabus and pattern resources available on GovtJobsAlert.in.
All candidates who clear the first test have their eligibility documents verified against the criteria and claimed category reservations. This stage ensures that only genuine candidates proceed further.
Selected candidates must undergo a one‑month training program (≈50 hours) at either IDDC Ambala or HMSDC Gurugram. Training may be conducted on Saturdays & Sundays or Monday‑Friday as decided by HARTRON. Attendance of at least 75 % is mandatory. Training for a particular category is initiated only when a minimum of 75 candidates are available. Prior to training, the ₹1,500 security deposit must be deposited.
Only candidates who complete training with required attendance are eligible to sit for the second test. The notification explicitly states that candidates in Programmer, Junior Software Developer, System Analyst, Software Developer and Sr. System Analyst categories must use MVC (Model‑View‑Controller)for the practical test. For Junior Programmers, the tool is not separately mentioned; candidates should verify this on their admit card. A maximum of 2 attempts are allowed against a single advertisement. Training can be availed a maximum of **2 times**.
Merit is calculated by giving equal weightage to the first Domain Knowledge Test and the second practical test. Separate merit lists are prepared for each reserved category that clears the second test. The panel is formed based on this merit.
Deployment into actual job work is **conditional** – a candidate is placed only when an indenting organisation (government department, board or corporation) raises a confirmed requirement. Placement follows the reservation roster, ensuring that vacancies are filled as per the district‑wise allocation.
Applicants are required to follow a strict online process. Physical or offline submissions are **not accepted**. Keep your qualification certificates, category certificates, domicile proof and a functional email ID ready before you begin.
