Educational Qualification:
A minimum one‑year Multi Purpose Health Worker basic certificate course or Diploma course from a Government‑recognised institution.
OR a minimum one‑year Sanitary Inspectors Diploma Course from a Government‑recognised institution.
OR a minimum one‑year certificate course of Health Sanitary Inspectors from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or other Government‑recognised institute.
OR a Diploma of Sanitary Inspector or Health Sanitary Inspector from a recognised University (or a deemed University under the UGC Act, 1956).
Computer & Language Skills: Basic knowledge of computer application and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi (or both).
Gender: Only male candidates can apply. Female candidates are not eligible for this recruitment.
Age Limit (as on 31 July 2026): 18 years – 33 years.
Age Relaxations:
Reserved category (male): 5 years extra (maximum age 38 years)
General with disability: 10 years extra (maximum age 43 years)
Reserved with disability: 15 years extra (maximum age 45 years)
Ex‑Servicemen candidates receive relaxation equal to their period of service plus 3 more years.
Candidates already in Gujarat Government service may also get upper age relaxation as per the rules.
Nationality: Must be a citizen of India or hold the nationality mentioned in Rule‑7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
The pay for Multi Purpose Health Worker (Male) is decided by the Finance Department of Gujarat. Candidates are appointed on a fixed monthly pay of ₹26,000 for the first five years. After completing five years of satisfactory service, they are placed on the regular Pay Level‑2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200) scale, inclusive of dearness allowance and other statutory benefits. The whole pay arrangement is subject to the final outcome of the Supreme Court cases related to the matter.
